** NEW for SPRING 2017 **  BBGC will host an Academy style training session for our Intramural players.  This will be led by a professional trainer from UK Elite Soccer who will instruct and have our volunteer coaches running stations in an organized manner and from a professionally developed curriculum that is designed to better teach the fundamentals of the game to our players and coaches.  This will take place at Andy Brown Soccer field in Allen Pond Park on Mondays for the U5/6 and U7/8 age groups and Tuesdays for U9/10 and U11-16 players.  The times for academy night will be 5:45-7:00 for the younger teams and 7:15-8:30 for the older teams each day.  Please plan accordingly to be available for this opportunity as it will be considered one of your child's practice sessions of the week.  The academy nights will start in mid-March and run for 6 weeks.  Your volunteer coach will decide the other night your assigned team will practice on and will work to further the training on that week's topic.

Due to the amount of children that will be attending our Academy night training on Mondays and Tuesdays we will need your cooperation to help it run smoothly. We will work hard to maintain a safe and fun learning environment so:
  1. It is essential that your child is on time and attends only your assigned time slot.
  2. You must have someone stay at the field to watch over your child but at no time should you or others in your party enter the field without notifying the coaches that are running the event.
  3. If your child is disruptive or unruly during the session, they will be sent to you on the sideline for remediation
  4. We ask that you leave soccer balls at home (or in the car) during academy nights, to prevent sharing issues and loss. We will have the equipment needed for the academy session.
